Police cordon off Bramley street after girl, 11, approached by suspicious man

Police have set up a scene in Bramley and launched an appeal for witnesses after a young girl was approached by a suspicious man this morning.

The 11-year-old girl was in the Rossefield Avenue area at 8.13am.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 8.13am today (June 25) police received a report of an 11-year-old girl being approached by a male in suspicious circumstances in the Rossefield Avenue area of Bramley.

"A scene is currently in place and enquiries are ongoing by officers from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit.

"If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist please could they contact Leeds District Safeguarding Unit via 101 non-emergency line quoting log number 296 of June 25."
