Police cordon off bank outside Glasgow after report of vandalism

Police enquiries are underway after a bank outside Glasgow was vandalised.

Officers were called to the Barclay's Bank branch in Cowgate, Kirkintilloch, to a report of vandalism around 8:50am this morning.

A photo taken at the scene earlier today shows a police vehicle parked outside the bank with a police cordon in place around the perimeter.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 8.50am on Tuesday, 12 April, officers received a report of vandalism to a premises on Cowgate, Kirkintilloch.

“Enquiries are on-going to establish the full circumstances.”

It comes as police enquiries got underway following a raid on an upmarket hair salon in the west end of Glasgow in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Mesart on Great Western Road near to Burnank Terrace after 5am this morning to reports of a burglary.
