A cordon has been set up near Sauchiehall Street and Charing Cross as police deal with an ongoing incident.
Newton Street has been guarded by officers since the early the early hours on Thursday morning.
Two police vans can be seen at the cordon which covers a busy stretch of the road close to the M8.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
