Police cordon after man assaulted near his home in Bulwell

Police were called to a report of an assault in Bulwell on Monday evening (November 9).

Officers were called to Newmarket Road just before 6.50pm to a report that a man had been hit on the head with an object after an argument with two men in front of his home.

The man suffered minor injuries and a police cordon was put up in the area following a report of the incident.

Police have asked anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area around the time of this incident.

“Violence of any kind is completely unacceptable and we are pursuing several lines of enquiry in order to find those responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident 543 of November 9.
