'Vulnerable' missing Gateshead mum Samantha Donkin has been found

A 28-year-old Gateshead mum who went missing after a night out has been found.

Samantha Donkin, known as Sammie, who also uses the surname Smith, was described as being "vulnerable" and was having a difficult time when she went to meet a friend in Gateshead on Friday, June 19.

She was last seen getting a taxi from her friend's house in the Milton Place area of Gateshead and is understood to have been dropped off in the Morpeth area.

Samantha's family said they were "worried sick" for the mum-of-one and reported her missing to police on Saturday.

Northumbria Police had been urging anyone with information of Samantha's whereabouts to contact them immediately.

However her family say Samantha has since been found on Tuesday afternoon.
