Body found in Blantyre after emergency services rush to busy street

Police have confirmed that the body of a man was discovered in a Blantyre home yesterday (Thursday, November 14).

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 1.30pm.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At around 1.35pm on Thursday, November 14, the body of a man was discovered in a house in the Westcraigs area of Blantyre.

“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
