Police confirm sudden death of Glasgow pensioner after Maryhill streets locked down

Police have confirmed the sudden death of a pensioner in the north of Glasgow.

Yesterday, we reported on streets in Maryhill being locked down by police in response to an incident on Stirrat Street.

Police have today advised they were called to the scene of a sudden death of an 83-year-old woman.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

The Greater Glasgow Police Division advised today: "Officers were called to the sudden death of an 83-year-old woman outside an address in Stirrat Street, Glasgow around 3.25pm on Friday, 3 December.

"Following a post mortem examination, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
