Police confirm person died after being hit by train in Nottingham

A person has died after being hit by a train in Nottingham, police have confirmed.

British Transport Police were called to the train line at 6.59am on Friday, November 13, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended, however, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened on the train track next to St. Alban’s Road in Bulwell.

Officers are now working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.

This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, police added.
