Police have confirmed missing teenager Jessica MacMurray has been found safe and well.

A frantic search was launched after the weekend after the 16-year-old didn’t show up to an arranged meeting at Hamilton Central Station on Saturday, October 30.

She was last seen in Hamilton as cops released CCTV footage of her last sighting.

Jessica had been missing from the Crail area of Fife, and had agreed to meet at the Lanarkshire rail station at 9pm and confirmed by text message at 5pm, however she did not show.

However, police have now confirmed she has been found.

A spokeswoman for the force told Lanarkshire Live : "We can confirm that Jessica McMurray, who was reported missing from Crail, has been traced safe and well.

"We'd like to thank the public for sharing our appeal."
