Police confirm missing Kilmarnock man has been found

A missing Kilmarnock man has been found safe and well.

Police confirmed last night that Ian Fowler had been traced as they thanked people for their assistance.

The 39-year-old left his home in the town at around 6am yesterday morning but the alarm was raised when he didn't drive to work in his van as expected.

The van was then discovered in the car park at the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre, Perthshire.

There was a significant police presence in that area as the search for Ian began with a police helicopter also utilised.

But officers later revealed that he had been discovered, bringing the matter to a close.
