Police confirm man, 76, dies seven weeks after being hit by bus

Police have confirmed a 76-year-old man has died, seven weeks after being hit by a bus in Cardiff.

South Wales Police said the collision involved a bus and a pedestrian on Crwys Road on Friday, March 6.

The 76-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, for treatment but has since died of his injuries.

The incident happened near the Shah Jalal Mosque.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred at approximately 12.30pm near the Shah Jalal Mosque.

"Any witnesses who have yet to give an account, or anyone with any dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident or the moments prior to it, is asked to contact 101, quoting 2000081850."
