Police confirm deaths of two people found in Rhondda house are not being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed that the deaths of two people discovered at a property in Rhondda on the morning on Sunday, May 30, are not being treated as suspicious.

Investigations are ongoing this evening after South Wales Police were called by the ambulance service just after 10.50am following reports of the death of two people at an address in High Street, Cymmer, Porth. You can follow our updates of how the incident unfolded here.

Police said they were trying to establish the full circumstances, however the deaths were not being treated as suspicious.

Detective Chris Grey said: “Investigations into the deaths are still ongoing and various tests are being carried out.

“We are treating the deaths as unexplained at this time. The next of kin have been informed and we are supporting the family to come to terms with this tragic incident.”

Witnesses at the scene reported that there were about three police cars, an ambulance and a fire engine parked at the scene near Cymmer Primary School.
