Police confirm death 'not suspicious' after body found in Scots flat on New Year's Day

Police have confirmed a man's death is 'not suspicious' after his body was found in a Perth flat.

Cops swarmed Culliven Court after the man was was found dead on New Years Day at around 8.40pm.

A probe was launched into the incident which will continue to investigate the full circumstances of the tragic find.

Uniformed police and ambulances were seen at the scene as officers patroled the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.40pm on Saturday, 1 January, 2022, police received a report a man's body had been found within a flat in Culliven Court, Perth.

"At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious however enquiries continue into the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
