Police 'concerned for welfare' of woman pictured at Manchester Airport with suitcase

Police say they are 'concerned for the welfare' of a woman pictured on CCTV at Manchester Airport.

Details are scarce, but Greater Manchester Police (GMP) today issued a public appeal.

The force wants any sightings of the woman to be reported.

GMP issued details of the appeal on the Facebook page of the Manchester Airport police division.

The woman hasn't been named and no dates have been revealed.

It's understood the image was taken from a CCTV camera inside the airport.

The woman is shown wheeling what appears to be a suitcase across a floor.

She's wearing glasses, a green coat and a scarf.

She is also clutching an orange-coloured carrier bag together with the suitcase.

The image was published on the Facebook page.

In a post on Facebook, the airport division of GMP said: "Greater Manchester Police are concerned for the welfare of a female shown in the image attached.

"Please call the Police at Manchester Airport on 0161 856 0250 to report any sightings, quoting reference No 1209 06/5/2021."

The Manchester Evening News has asked the force for more details, but no further information has been released.
