Police are concerned for the welfare of a missing Canberra woman and want the public to help find her.

They said Tumi Bartley, 28, had not been seen or heard from since she was in Garran on Thursday.

"She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with dark hair, brown eyes, and of slim build," they said in a statement.

"Police hold concerns for Tumi's welfare and are requesting the public's assistance in locating her."

They said anyone with any information that could help them find her should contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 and quote reference 6821155.
