Police concerned for welfare of missing 14-year-old

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 14-year-old who went missing three days ago. Chantelle Baghurst, also known as Hayda, was last seen near their home in Pontypool at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, May 10.

The teenager is described as being around five foot two inches tall, of thin build with long dark hair. Hayda has links to the Abergavenny, Newport and Swansea areas.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwent Police. A spokesman for the force said: "We’re appealing for information to find Chantelle Baghurst, also known as Hayda, who has been reported as missing. Hayda, 14, was last seen near their home address in Pontypool at around 3.30pm on Tuesday 10 May and officers are concerned for their welfare.

"They are described as around 5’ 2” tall, of thin build and with long dark hair. Hayda has links to the Abergavenny, Newport and Swansea areas.

"Anyone with any information on their whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2200155521.
