Police concerned for welfare of 'distressed' woman seen calling for help from car window

Police are concerned for the welfare of a "distressed" woman who was seen calling for help while leaning out of a car window.

South Wales Police received a report of a woman seen leaning out of the front passenger window of a car in the Rumney area of Cardiff on Monday, April 19.

A force spokesperson said the woman had blonde hair and was seen in a black Audi which was travelling at speed near Cardiff Council Recycling Centre on Wentloog Road.

Officers are now making enquiries to identify the car and the woman as they would like to ensure she is safe and well.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "Witnesses have described the blonde woman as looking distressed as she leant out the front passenger window calling for help as the car travelled at speed at the roundabout where Lamby Way meets Wentloog Avenue, near Cardiff Council Recycling Centre, and then onto Wentloog Road."

The black Audi A3 was described as having tinted windows and was either matt black or very dirty.
