Police 'concerned' for missing Lanarkshire man launch fresh search appeal

Officers in Lanarkshire are continue their search to locate a 35-year-old man missing from Stonehouse.

Andrew Ballantyne was last seen around 9pm on Saturday, 3 October, 2020 in Lockhart Street, Stonehouse.

He is white, around 5 ft. 8 inches in height, with short dark hair and a short dark beard.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black Puffa jacket with a Ferrari or Lamborghini logo, grey jogging trousers with a vertical strip down each leg and black trainers.

He was reported missing to the police on 6 October, 2020.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to find Andrew, however, attempts to locate him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Officers continue to speak to family and friends and continue to review CCTV footage.

Inspector Ross McCalllum said: “No-one has seen or heard from Andrew for a number of days and although he may not always be in touch with his family, he’s never been out of contact for this long before so we do have some concerns.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Andrew or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.

"In particular, I would ask motorists with dash cams to check their footage as it’s possible an image has been captured which could assist in our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0287 of 6 October, 2020.
