The road next to Chester Zoo is currently closed after two explosive devices were found in a nearby canal.
Cheshire Police have warned drivers to find an alternative route after the two devices were found in the canal off Caughall Road in Chester.
The road sits directly next to Chester Zoo and will remain closed this afternoon while police deal with the incident.
In a photo shared by Cheshire Police , a large explosive can be seen alongside a smaller one.
In a statement on their Facebook page, a spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "Two explosive devices have been found in the canal off Caughall Road and the road is currently closed whilst we deal with the incident.
"Please find an alternative route."
