Police have closed a road in Wythenshawe following a crash.
Moorcroft Road has been shut in both directions near the junction with Button Lane since around 4pm.
In a tweet, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) warned drivers to stay away from the area if possible.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix has reported that the collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
A spokesperson for TfGM said: "Moorcroft Road, Wythenshawe, is closed in both directions at the junction with Button Lane.
"This is due to a collision.
"Local buses will be diverting, please check with the operator.
"Use an alternative route if you are heading this way."
The M.E.N. has approached Greater Manchester Police for more information on this incident.
Moorcroft Road is cordoned off close to the junction with Baycroft Grove.
