Police close road for for hours after two car crash

A car crash closed a Nottingham road for a number of hours on Tuesday (December 15) evening.

A spokesperson at Nottinghamshire police said an incident happened in Sherwood at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, December 15.

They said: "There was a two-vehicle road collision at the Hucknall Road and Perry Road junction.

"There were minor injuries and the road reopened just before midnight.

"There were no further issues."

Nottingham City Transport tweeted at the time: "Brown 15, 16 and 17 are diverting via Haydn Road, Nottingham Road and the Ring Road because of an RTC at the Hucknall Road / Perry Road junction."

They said bus routes had returned to normal at 11.57pm.
