Police have made progress in tracking the owner of a jet ski seen speeding along a Salford canal.
Video footage captured the jet ski zooming down Bridgewater Canal on Friday, May 15. Officers said caused distress to local wildlife and disturbed nearby walkers.
Following an appeal to trace the owner, police say they have now received information on who may have been riding the jet ski.
Sergeant Livesey, GMP’s Swinton and Little Hulton division, said: “I have had several people contact me with information about the riders, including information from police officers and we have some details of who may own the jet ski and we will look to visit them soon.
“In addition, we are in the process of contacting the management firm for Bridgewater Canal to advise them and push for future civil prosecutions.”
