POLICE are closing in on "known" football thugs who were involved in organised football violence as Rangers take on Celtic at Ibrox.
Officers have tracked down three of the gang of hooligans who gathered for a fight near Glasgow.
They've been issued fixed police notices, as the force said they're on the trail of the rest of the hooligans.
It is understood that clubs from both sides of Glasgow were involved in the organised fight, as well as fans from Livingston.

Police say they are closing in on the gang of thugs associated with the three clubs who gathered in a wooded area to take part in organised football violence.
Officers now know that 20 people gathered in a wooded area near Marley Field and Cadder Road in the Bishopbriggs area on Friday, August 22, 2025.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries remain ongoing for this incident.
"Three people were issued Fixed Police Notices in connection."
Police have said that the group ran from the area when they arrived at around 8.15pm at the scene of the gang fight.
Police say that several of the thugs have been identified.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.15pm on Friday, 22 August, 2025 we were made aware of a disturbance in Bishopbriggs.
"A group of around 20 people had gathered in a wooded area near Marley Field and Cadder Road to take part in organised football-related violence.
"The group left the scene when officers arrived, and there were no reports of any injuries.
"Several individuals involved have been identified, and investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest further persons involved.
"I am appealing to the public to help identify the people that took part in this disturbance.
"If you have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage, or have any information that could assist with enquiries, please contact 101 quoting incident number 3672 of 22 August 2025.
"The vast majority of football fans do not conduct themselves in this way and just want to enjoy the sport. This organised criminal behaviour impacts on our communities, the reputation of football clubs and police resources in order to investigate and prevent these crimes.
"Organised football-related violence will not be tolerated in our communities, and we will continue to investigate this using the full extent of our powers to stamp out this kind of offending."
Celtic, Rangers, and Livingston football clubs were approached for comment but did not respond.
