Police close Co Fermanagh road after discovery of 'suspicious object'

Police have closed a section of a Co Fermanagh road today following the discovery of a "suspicious object".

The PSNI have asked motorists to avoid Moorlough Road, between Newtownbutler and Lisnaskea, following reports that a suspicious object in the area.

Officers are currently at the scene and diversions have been put in place.

There are no further details on the incident at this time.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Motorists are asked to avoid the Moorlough Road, between Newtownbutler and Lisnaskea, which is closed due to the discovery of a suspicious object.

"Police are currently in attendance and diversions are in place.

"There is no further information at present."
