Police reopen 6 roads after concerns for man's safety

Police had to cordon off a series of roads in Sutton-in-Ashfield following concerns for a man's safety.

Officers said there was no risk to the wider public but they urged people to avoid the area while they 'bring the incident to a safe conclusion'.

The incident happened around 9am on Saturday, July 4 and was resolved by 10.30am when roads were reopened.

The force thanked the public for their patience.

The following roads have now been reopened:

Outram Street junction with New Cross/Mansfield Road

Outram Street junction with St Michaels Street

Outram Street junction with Stoney Street

Outram Street junction with Penn Street/Asda Roundabout

Downing Street Junction with Outram Street

Downing Street junction with Priestsic/Stoneyford Road crossroads
