Police chief acquitted over UK stadium accident that killed 96

The police chief in charge of operations during a 1989 British football stadium tragedy has been found not guilty.

David Duckenfield was responsible for the Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield when severe overcrowding led to the deaths of 96 Liverpool supporters.

The tragedy horrified the nation and led to years of inquests and investigations.
