A 25-year-old man has been charged with possessing child abuse material, with police alleging they found evidence of him attempting to obtain illicit photographs from up to ten children.
Detectives from the Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET), consisting of members from NT Police and the Australian Federal Police, executed a search warrant on Friday afternoon in the Darwin suburb of Fannie Bay and seized the man's mobile phone.
Police allege they found several videos containing child abuse material on the phone, as well as evidence he had been grooming other children in an attempt to procure further photographs.
The man has been charged with two counts of possessing child abuse material and one count of grooming a person under 16 years of age.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Local court today.
