Police charge man in connection with attempted murder near Rutherglen

Police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged attempted murder attempt that took place near Rutherglen earlier this year.

In February we reported how a 23-year-old man was left with serious injuries after allegedly being stabbed on Kingsacre Road in the Kings Park area of Glasgow.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in a "critical" condition.

Police at the time said they were looking in a number of lines of enquiry.

Now cops have revealed a man is appearing at court today in connected with the alleged incident.

A police statement read: "A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 23-year-old man on Kingsacre Road, Kings Park, Glasgow on Wednesday, February 23.

"The 23-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 21."
