Police charge man following alleged Boxing Day stabbing

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing at a fast food outlet in South Belfast on Boxing Day.

The incident is reported to have taken place in the Boucher Road area around 2pm on Thursday.

A 24-year-old is facing allegations including grievous bodily harm with intent.

He is due at court this morning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a stabbing incident in the Boucher Road area of Belfast at around 2pm on Thursday 26th December have charged a man, aged 24, with offences including grievous bodily harm with intent.

"He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court this morning (Friday, 27th December).

"As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
