Police charge man after violent road rage brawl

Mobile phone footage of a violent road rage incident in Sydney's west has helped police charge one of the men allegedly involved.

In the vision posted to social media earlier this week, four men can be seen getting out of their cars and throwing punches in the middle of a busy road in Merrylands.

As the fight intensifies, one of the men launches a flying kick at another.

After being made aware of the footage New South Wales police launched an investigation and late yesterday the 22-year-old driver of one car handed himself into the Merrylands Police Station.

He will front Fairfield Local Court next month on several charges, including fighting, intimidation and negligent driving.

The two men in the other car were also interviewed by police but released without charge.

Officers say their investigations are continuing.
