Police charge drink-drive suspect in Haverfordwest stop check

A Pembrokeshire Road Police patrol caught up with a drink-driving suspect following a stop check near Haverfordwest on Friday night.

Police carried out a roadside breathalyser test and the suspect was found to be above the legal limit and charged for the offence on the spot.

The driver will appear in court for the offence and the passenger was also found to be in possession of Class B drug cannabis.

Dyfed-Powys Police tweeted at 12.28am: "Male charged with drink driving, following a stop check near Haverfordwest overnight.

"He has since been bailed to attend court in due course.

"His passenger was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis, which was dealt with by means of an out of court disposal."
