Police charge Adelaide man with attempted murder of toddler daughter

Police arrive at the house in Eden Hills where the man and his daughter child were found unconscious.

An Adelaide man has been charged with the attempted murder of his three-year-old daughter.

The 43-year-old man and the girl were taken to hospital in a critical condition after being found unconscious inside their home at Eden Hills in Adelaide's south on Thursday night.

He was charged with attempted murder today.

He was arrested at the Flinders Medical Centre and was refused bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court.

The girl is in a stable condition at the Women's and Children's Hospital.

Police were called to the house on Kinedana Street after an urgent call for assistance was made about midnight on Thursday.

Officers were seen removing at least four gas canisters from the home.

A woman and another child were also at the scene but were not harmed, police said on Friday.
