An investigation is underway following alleged graffiti on a Metro train and wall.

Officers received a report that a man, who was travelling on a train from North Shields to Byker, daubed graffiti all over the inside wall of the carriage at around 7.30pm on August 21.

The man then left the train at Byker Metro Station and proceeded to graffiti on the wall of the stairwell.
