Police cars and ambulance called to Nottingham city centre due to 'concerns for man's safety'

Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Nottingham city centre following reports of concerns for a man's safety.

Three police cars and an ambulance attended the incident in Shakespeare Street, outside the Nottinghamshire YMCA, a charity which supports those who are homeless and vulnerable.

Officers and paramedics were at the scene at around 10.45am on Wednesday, May 6.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to a report of concern for a man's safety in Shakespeare Street at around 10.45am today (Wednesday 6 May 2020).

"It has since been resolved.

It is not thought any roads were closed but officers and paramedics have now left the scene.
