The tram line between Oldham Mumps and Westwood was blocked after the incident as emergency services responded. Restrictions were also put in place on the Manchester Street roundabout following the crash.

"This resulted in no trams running between Oldham Mumps and Westwood while the incident was dealt with. Services resumed about an hour later."
