A police car was involved in a serious road crash forcing the closure of the M90 on Sunday night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of accident on the northbound lane on the M90 at Kelty in Fife.
A police Scotland spokesperson said: "The collision involved a marked police vehicle and happened around 9.30pm."
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Three fire crews and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the road which has recently reopened.
