A police car has been involved in a collision with another vehicle on the motorway while responding to an emergency incident.
The collision, which involved a Nissan Qashqai, happened on the M60 at around 11.45am today between J19 for Middleton and Simister Island.
The passenger of the Qashqai has been taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
Both cars remained at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police say no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
One lane of the motorway remained closed for a couple of hours. All lanes have now opened.
