Police car crashes with vehicle on busy road in Greenock

A police vehicle was involved in a collision in Greenock today.

Emergency services rushed to Patrick Street after the police vehicle collided with another car at around 2.10pm.

The police car was seen with its front grill dented in and the other vehicle's bumper was up in the air.

There was no reported injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumtances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.15pm to a crash involving a police vehicle and another car on Patrick Street involving two vehicles. There was no reported injuries. The road was reopened shortly after.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
