Police called to Zach LaVine’s house to deal with ‘obsessed fan’: report

Police were called to Zach LaVine’s home after a stranger showed up and refused to leave.

Not exactly the best start to the All-Star Break for Bulls guard Zach LaVine.

According to TMZ, cops were called to LaVine’s Chicago residence Thursday night, after an alleged obsessed woman showed up to his door and refused to leave. The report said that LaVine did not know the woman, but she had traveled from another state looking to meet and converse with the first-time All-Star guard.

Police were called in and the woman was eventually taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The Bulls had wrapped up first-half play with a win over New Orleans on Wednesday, and even with LaVine headed to Atlanta for Sunday’s All-Star Game, the NBA didn’t want players arriving until Saturday because of coronavirus protocols.

That’s why he was still in Chicago, while many of his other teammates had scattered out of market.
