Police called to sudden death of man in Kilwinning

Police have attended the sudden death of a man in an Ayrshire home.

Officers were called to a property in Shavian Terrace in Kilwinning yesterday morning, it has been confirmed today.

Cops say that the death is currently being treated as "unexplained" but isn't considered to be suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report shortly after 11.05am on Wednesday, March 10 relating to the sudden death of a man at a property on Shavian Terrace in Kilwinning.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course."
