Police called to stabbing in Moston after receiving reports of man 'attacking people'

Police have arrested a man following a stabbing in Moston tonight.

Officers were called to Moston Lane at 9.25pm, to reports of a man 'attacking people'.

They found a man had been stabbed.

He was injured, and his condition was described as non-life threatening.

GMP said a man has been arrested.

Residents reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area as officers responded to the incident.

A stretch of the road has been taped off in both directions, and crime scene investigation officers are working at the scene.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 9.25pm on Sunday 3rd October 2021, police were called to a report of a male attacking people on Moston Lane, Manchester.

"Officers attended and established that a male had been stabbed and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

"A male was arrested on suspicion of assault."
