Police were called to reports of “shots fired” at a Florida golf course owned by Donald Trump in the early hours of Friday morning.
The Doral Police Department said its officers responded to the call at Trump National Doral resort, near Miami, and arrested one person.
The department said there were “no known victims” and “no further threat”.
More information would be made available later, it added, indicating a press conference would be held.
Trump National Doral Golf Club, an 800-acre resort outside Miami, is home to four championship golf courses including the Blue Monster, which plays host to a PGA Tour event each year.
Mr Trump bought the property for $150m (£111m) in 2012.
