Police called to pub fight which spilled out into street

A fight started inside a pub and spilled out into the street in Stockport .

Police were called to Gorton Road in Reddish on Sunday night following reports of a fight outside the Fir Tree pub.

It is understood a dispute took place inside the venue at around 8.50pm before the row continued in the street outside and escalated.

Witnesses said there were a large number of police vans and ambulance vehicles outside the pub following the incident.

There were no reports of any serious injuries and no arrests have been made.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called to a possible fight at 8.50pm outside the Fir Tree pub on Gorton Road.

"The groups present have been spoken to.

"There were no serious injuries and no arrests."

An eyewitness said it 'kicked off' inside and then continued onto the street.

Other neighbours said they could see police cars and ambulances outside the pub late into Sunday night.

The M.E.N approached the Fir Tree but they declined to comment.
