Police called to incident near the Bearpit and Cabot Circus

Police were called to Bristol city centre over a concern for the welfare of a woman.

Officers attended A4044 Bond Street at around 11am today (November 18).

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: "It was a concern for the welfare for a woman.

"She has been detained under the Mental Health Act."

The incident happened between the Bearpit roundabout and the turning for Cabot Circus.
