Police called to Dumbarton retail park over reports of anti-social behaviour

Cops were called to St James Retail Park on Friday night over reports of yobs causing a disturbance.

The group made their escape from the Dumbarton shopping complex before police arrived.

Inspector Mo Boyle, of Dumbarton Police Office, said: “We received a call at around 8.20pm following reports that a group of youths were causing a disturbance in the retail park area.

“They made off before police arrived. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The area was previously plagued by gang violence prompting police to issue a targeted crackdown.

A 14-year-old boy was attacked in the area in March this year.
