Police called to 'disturbance' in Pollok amid reports of 'gang fight'

Police are in attendance at a 'disturbance' in Pollok this evening, with multiple police vehicles at the scene.

Officers have been spotted on Drumcross Road, with images showing part of the street taped off.

Meanwhile it is claimed on a local community Facebook page - Crookston and Pollok Community - police are in the area in response to a 'gang fight'.

As reported by Daily Record, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Officers were called to a disturbance in Drumcross Road, Pollock at around 6.40pm this evening. Officers are still at scene dealing with the incident."

One user reported the "whole place is cordoned off from Levernside shops, Drumcross Road and Levernside Bridge."

When contacted for comment, Police Scotland advised Glasgow Live there was no further update on the incident at the time.
