Police called to disturbance at valleys home find a cannabis factory inside

A cannabis factory was discovered at a house in the Dulais Valley when police responded to reports of a disturbance there.

South Wales Police officers attended the address in Golwg y Bryn, Pantyffordd, at 3.30am on Monday, August 17, after reports of a disturbance at the property. 

The front window of the house was smashed during the incident and ripped blinds were hanging out of the window with debris in the front garden.

Officers were still in attendance on Monday afternoon with at least two police vans in the street.

Multiple forensic officers in protective suits were working at the house throughout the day as a heavy police presence continued.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "Officers attended the reports of a disturbance in Golwg Y Bryn at about 3.35am this morning.

"Upon arrival they discovered a cannabis factory at the address.  Enquiries are ongoing."
