Police were called to reports of crowds gathering in Hamilton yesterday afternoon.
Local officers attended Milton Terrace in the Udston area at around 2.30pm where they met a group who had came together.
The crowd was broken up shortly afterwards and no arrests were made and no fixed penalties were issued.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received reports of a large crowd gathered in the Milton Terrace area of Hamilton, around 2.30pm on Sunday, 21 March.
“Officers attended and engaged with those present, who dispersed shortly afterwards. There were no arrests made or Fixed Penalty Notices issued.”
At present, no one in Scotland is permitted to meet in groups of more than four people from two households.
They are also advised not to leave their local area during COVID-19 restrictions.
