Police called to Bolton town centre as man refuses to leave health centre

Police were called to Bolton town centre this afternoon following reports that a man was refusing to leave a health centre.

Three police cars were parked in Coronation Street, to the side of the Octagon Theatre NCP car park on Wednesday afternoon, with one of the cars flashing its blue lights

According to police, the officers were called to the scene after a man refused to leave Lever Chambers Centre for Health in Ashburner Street.

Officers said that the man eventually left the building of his own accord once police arrived and asked him to.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The incident appears to be a man who was refusing to leave the health centre.

"He’s left now after of his own accord after a request from the police."
