Police called to armed robbery at Leeds Corn Exchange

Police were called to reports of an armed robbery at Leeds Corn Exchange.

West Yorkshire Police officers received reports of an armed robbery at 11.10am today (19/08).

The incident was said to have happened at the Corn Exchange in Leeds city centre.

Armed officers were deployed to the scene and it was established that a cash in transit robbery had taken place.

A police statement read: "At 11.10am today (Thursday), police received a report of an armed robbery which was said to have happened at the Corn Exchange in Leeds.
